Saunders Farm brings in 1930’s Carnival for its 25th Haunting Season!

Teatured in HBO’s Carnivale TV series

September 22, 2016

Ottawa’s Saunders Farm is celebrating its 25th year since its first Haunting Season in 1992. To mark this milestone, the Farm has brought in elements from Carnivale Lune Bleue, a 1930’s era Carnival, that includes pieces featured on HBO’s Carnivale. The Carnival features a 1917 Eli Bridge No. 5 Ferris Wheel and a 1938 Allen Herschell three-abreast wooden carousel as well as other iconic set pieces from the TV series to create three new attractions.

The Carnival, a family-friendly attraction in the daytime, will offer rides on the carousel and Ferris wheel, as well as classic games such as a high striker. The Big Top Fun House will also be a family-friendly attraction, featuring interactive experiences suitable for a younger audience.

The Big Top Fear House will open at night and serve as Saunders Farm’s 6th iconic haunted attraction, being marketed as it’s most terrifying “fright site”. So, if you have coulrophobia- the fear of clowns- you might want to avoid this Haunt at night.

To thank the more than 1 million guests who have visited Saunders Farm, the Saunders family has used the 25-year milestone to invest in their experience:

• Ticket pricing has been simplified and significant discounts can be obtained at www.SaundersFarm.com;

• Admission will now provide guests with UNLIMITED trips through each of its 6 Fright Sites: Haunted Hayride, Barn of Terror, Shambles, the Graveyard, Camp Slaughter, and the new Big Top Fun/Fear House;

• Hours of operation have been extended to 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights;

• An expanded offering of locally produced, farm-fresh foods is available throughout the Farm.

This year the Farm is grateful for the support of the Ontario Government through its Celebrate Ontario program.

Saunders Farm’s 25th Haunting Season is open from September 24th – October 31st. Ticket prices and hours of operation are available at www.SaundersFarm.com.
