The National Arts Centre Orchestra and Shenkman Arts Centre in partnership with Jeunesses Musicales Canada present exciting chamber music concerts for children aged three to eight! Created for our youngest fans, the Kinderconcert series delights families with imaginative storytelling and glittering musical magic.

About the Show
After a destructive flood, Great Turtle must rebuild a world filled with music, ensuring that balance and harmony reign over noise and pollution. Inspired by indigenous North American legends, a dazzling array of percussion instruments brings his adventures to life.

The Resident Art Partners of the Shenkman Arts Centre are happy to offer a Great Turtle Arts Zone before the show for the guests of How Great Turtle Rebuilt the World. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Ottawa School of Art – Orléans Campus: Let your creativity soar as you make a dynamic turtle craft.
Gloucester Pottery School – Children can decorate turtle shells made out of wet clay. After the show, each child will receive a kiln-fired baby clay turtle to take home. (4 pm show only)
OYP Theatre School – is pleased to present fun theatre activities for young audiences. Explore theatre and PLAY with us!
Arts Zone starts at 1:45 pm (FR) & 3:15pm (EN)

Location: Lower Lobby near Richcraft Theatre, Shenkman Arts Centre
We recommend you arrive a few minutes early to allow time to check your coats so young guests can fully enjoy each of these activities before the shows start at 2:30 pm (French) and 4 pm (English).
