As of December 1, proof of vaccination for anyone aged 12 and up will be required to access the exhibitions and all public areas of the Museum, including special events. Proof accepted: vaccination passport or proof of vaccination (digital or printed), as well as ID with name and date of birth.

Fourteen portraits by artist Elaine Goble capture the personal legacies of the Second World War veterans and survivors she has met throughout her career. An exhibition developed by the Canadian War Museum in collaboration with artist Elaine Goble.

Legion National Foundation’s Poster and Literary Contest Winners 2021

Each year, students across the country submit artwork, poetry and essays to the Legion National Foundation’s Annual Poster and Literary Contest. This year, the Canadian War Museum is proud to exhibit the winning entries — eight posters and two literary pieces.

Forever Changed – Stories From the Second World War

For Canada, the Second World War was a global conflict. For individual Canadians, it was personal. Weaving together diverse stories and compelling artifacts, Forever Changed marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and explores the first-hand impact of war on the lives of Canadians.
