Happening THIS Weekend!

By OCF November 17, 2022

A Christmas Carol

Is any literary treasure bursting with the Christmas spirit more than A Christmas Carol? Watch the magic unfold onstage, and be transported to a simpler time filled with love, happiness, charity and transformation! In conceiving Ebenezer Scrooge, Dickens created the most recognizable, miserly curmudgeon that ever existed. After being confronted with his ghostly manifestations, Scrooge is a new man proving that even the coldest heart can be warmed during the holiday season; truly a Christmas miracle.

From Fezziwig to Tiny Tim, all the favourites are included in DuffleBag Theatre’s exuberant version of the Charles Dickens yuletide classic!

The Ottawa Children’s Festival de la jeunesse (https://ottawachildrensfestival.ca/) is proud to bring “Fall Into Play”. A Mini-Festival taking place November 19-20 at the Canadian War Museum (1 Vimy Place). The whole family is invited to experience a collection of classic adaptations and new, soon-to-be favourites. Productions also include: The Billy-croquettes by Josette Lépine from Les soeurs Kif-Kif; Felicity Falls by Rag & Bone Puppet Theatre; and The world premiere of The Happy Prince, A Radio Play by Skeleton Key Theatre.

And with your show ticket to any of our engaging performances, the Festival is excited to offer a collaborative art workshop with artists Dan Martelock and Tom Radford. The final product will result in a mural with an “Ottawa Winter” theme that will provide great photo opportunities for families!
