ACTIVITIES

Museum Tree

Until January 9, 2023
Plaza

Come admire the Canadian Museum of History’s dazzling outdoor tree throughout the holiday season. Adorned with thousands of red, green and white lights, the tree will illuminate the Museum’s Plaza until the new year.

Family Fun and Games

From December 22, 2022 to January 8, 2023

Canadian Children’s Museum: Studio

Discover a whole new world of theatrical mask-making in our fully stocked Studio. Our helpful staff is ready to assist you and your family in creating thematic masks using a colourful assortment of materials — felt, beads, feathers and almost anything you can dream up will be at your fingertips.

EXHIBITIONS

From Pepinot to PAW Patrol® – Television of Our Childhoods

Until September 1, 2023

From Pepinot to PAW Patrol® – Television of Our Childhoods features nearly 100 of the television programs that encouraged Canadian children to read, write and count, along with more grown-up fare for tweens and teens. Packed with numerous clips from everyone’s favourite shows, original costumes, puppets, and images, the exhibition is a must-see for anyone, from the very young to the young at heart.

An exhibition developed by the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, in collaboration with CBC/Radio-Canada and with the participation of Télé-Québec.

Autumn Peltier – Indigenous Water Protector

Until January 8, 2023

The Museum is proud to highlight the exceptional achievements of Autumn Peltier, from Wiikwemikoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island, through a special display of material connected to her international advocacy for clean water rights. This material — which will be featured in a temporary display before a longer-term installation in the Canadian History Hall — includes the dress she wore for her address to the United Nations General Assembly in March of 2018.

AW Patrol: Jet to the Rescue

From December 24, 2022 until January 8, 2023

Meet Dana, a 10-year-old girl who is passionate about dinosaurs and can even see them in real life! The action-packed adventure starts as Dana tries to solve Dino Experiment 901: Where are all the kid dinos?
