An Evening with Frédéric Pierre and Schelby Jean-Baptiste

Canadian film and television performers Frédéric Pierre and Schelby Jean-Baptiste will talk candidly about their careers, and how to create a more diverse and open playing field for actors of colour. This conversation, moderated by Naadei Lyonnaise, will launch the Museum’s celebration of Black History Month, and reflect upon the opportunities and barriers faced by Black performers in Canadian film and television.

Come experience a mini pow wow featuring a Grand Entry or opening ceremony, intertribals, and invited drums, as well as dancers of many styles and ages from our Nations. Organized and presented by Indigenous Experiences.
