Description
Families can participate in outdoor learning activities, which are hosted in collaboration with Frontier College, a Canadian charitable organization that promotes literacy.
Every Friday and Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Frontier College staff and volunteers invite the general public, families, and groups of children to settle in under the Reading Tent to read books and to participate in fun reading, writing, and science activities. We hope to see you there!
While you are at Rideau Hall, take in the sights and visit for the whole day! We have a wide array of free activities offered on-site during the summer.
On the grounds...
- Learn about heraldry by designing your very own coat of arms at the Visitor Centre
- Stroll the grounds, bring a picnic, and enjoy the children’s play structure.
- Watch the relief of the sentries of the Ceremonial Guard. Daily, every hour on the hour, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (From June 23 to August 24)
