Celebrate Nepean Creative Arts Centre’s 25th Anniversary!

August 13, 2015

Earlier this spring, we posted about the 25th Anniversary of the Nepean Creative Arts Centre.  The celebrations are about to begin and you’re invited to the party. To mark their quarter-of-a-century milestone, the Centre will be hosting a series of discounted (and some free) workshops and events for the community throughout the year.

Celebrations kick off this September and in the spirit of creativity, arts and community, everyone is invited to come out and try bite-sized classes fit for a wide-range of ages, interests and abilities.

The focus is on all things creative: visual, musical and performance.

If your child has always wanted to explore the performing arts but is shy, these workshops offer a great opportunity to come and try their hand at acting, singing or dancing. Offered in collaboration with Suzart Productions these workshops - You Bet you Can Dance, You Bet you Can Sing and You Bet you Can Act – will get them started. Or stop in for the Family Drum Circle and pound out a beat!  The workshop is free and is open to all levels of experience.

For those with older children - youth 15+, you might want to both come out and try Ballroom Social. International competitive ballroom dancer and coach, Alexander Pauk will guide and glide you through some basic moves.

If performing is not your thing but free is, the Ottawa Printmakers Connective is offering an interactive drop-in workshop for youth and adults interested in the printmaking process.

Check out their website for a full listing of workshops and events being offered throughout the year.

The Centre is located in Bells Corners at 35 Stafford Road and offers specialized arts classes for preschoolers to adults.
