Skating on the Rideau Canal is an Ottawa winter tradition. While the mild temperatures have been lovely to enjoy, they are not great for canal conditions.

Managed by the NCC since the 1970–1971 season, the world’s largest skating rink receives, on average, close to one million visits every year, with an average of 20,000 visits each day that it is open. With Winterlude around the corner, here's hoping this cool down so skating can heat up!
