Ottawa's First Drive-In Amphitheatre is Here

By Wesley Clover Parks and DNA Live June 25, 2020

Ottawa will be able to cruise into summer with the ultimate Drive-In Experience.

DNA Live, in partnership with Wesley Clover Parks, has launched a multi-functional drive-in amphitheatre to provide entertainment for all to enjoy together while staying apart. Providing community events and festivals with a place to gather is one of Wesley Clover Parks’ greatest purposes.

Conveniently located in Ottawa’s west-end, the site is easily accessible from both the 416 and 417 highways and offers hundreds of acres allowing the community to stay apart while getting together!

The Drive-In event at Wesley Clover Parks will present a wide array of movies to include family friendly, classics of all genres, and Hollywood blockbusters.

The first drive-in movie event was scheduled to begin Wednesday June 24. The outdoor venue has also landed local partnerships that will facilitate several unique event offerings including:

Weekly outdoor Yoga sessions with Pure Yoga, Weekly SPIN and HIIT sessions with Barres and Wheels, and a weekly Drive in comedy experience with YUK YUKS.

Announcement dates on these activities will be released in the coming weeks to be in line with provincial orders and Ottawa Public Health’s requirements.

The drive-in will accommodate car spaces doubled in size, toilets that will be sanitized throughout the show, and all concessions sales will be pre-ordered and delivered directly to your car.

The drive-in admission cost will average $30 per car for movie nights.. Strict health and safety measures in line with provincial and local recommendations will be implemented, including the mandatory use of masks and gloves from all workers and staffers.

Hand sanitizer and hand wash stations will be available for patrons and the use of a mask when outside your vehicle will be strongly recommended.
