Happy new year y'all! I wish you a healthy and wonderful 2021!
I'm still trying to switch back into work mode after an easy and relaxing winter break. We didn't go anywhere, or see anyone (except over Zoom), but our holidays were special nonetheless.
I think if 2020 has taught me anything, it's to be grateful for what you have, appreciate the little things, cherish your health, and hold your family tight.
Winter break for us was very low key. We cooked a ton, ordered in to support local restaurants and #eatlocal, watched lots of movies, hockey and football, and took advantage of the mild weather by walking every day. Family time included all hands on deck for meal prep and lots of board games. It was quiet, leisurely and the perfect way to wrap up a difficult 2020.
As we head into the new year, much is still uncertain. Schools are closed this week and the lock down is still in place. Vaccination clinics are starting to roll out, albeit slowly. Kids activities are still up in the air, but there is a cautious optimism nonetheless.
Our goal remains to help you find your family fun and share the best places in Ottawa to visit with your kids.
We love hearing from you so if you have ideas for us please let us know. You can email at (saralynne@macaronikid.com).
We look forward to sharing all the best for 2021.
