The OCF Virtual Festival 2021 Is On!

We want you to share in all of the fun!

June 3, 2021

The Ottawa Children’s Festival de la jeunesse is underway, welcoming audiences virtually! OCF has chosen three productions from nationally and internationally renowned artists for everyone to enjoy from wherever you are! The Festival takes place June 2-7, 2021 and will be FREE to view.

Accessing the performances for our  event is simple. Go to ottawachildrensfestival.ca, click on the “GET FREE TICKETS '' button and you will find the links for all shows.  You can enjoy them  as many times as you like for the duration of our Festival. Instructions can also be found on the website on how to have a Watch Party with your friends or students so you can all enjoy the adventures together!

Along with these incredible, professional productions, each has a series of activities and/or study guides to strengthen curriculum links. Visit ottawachildrensfestival.ca to find out how to get your free tickets and request these educational resources to further enhance the learning experience of each performance!

Two of OCF’s amazing sponsors are also sharing special programming for audiences to enjoy! As a pre-festival kick-off, Big Jump Entertainment had beloved Canadian author Judith Henderson do a live streamed reading of a book from her popular series, entitled Big Words, Short Stories (premiering as a show on TVO Kids June 7th).  WPBS will be presenting their newest PBS Kids series Donkey Hodie, a puppet series inspired by the quirky, funny side of Fred Rogers. Donkey Hodie and her friends empower young viewers to follow their dreams and to solve challenges in their own lives.

We would  like to take a moment to  show our appreciation for our Festival friends  and past patrons. They have been joining in the fun of our virtual events and have been sharing news about the productions and special events of the OCF Virtual Festival. Their support is immeasurable, and we can not thank them enough for their unending support!

The OCF Family also felt it was time to make a few changes to how you get information about our Festival. We are updating our website to give it a fresh new look! You will notice we are still working on this project, but it will be up and running within the next few weeks. We are excited about these changes and would love to hear your thoughts on our new look. Visit ottawachildrensfestival.ca to check it out!

We really have missed seeing you in person, but we hope you will enjoy what we are offering during our first ever Virtual Event! Please keep May 18-22, 2022 open as we plan the return of our annual on-site event at LeBreton Flats (regulations permitting)!
