The City of Ottawa has a new registration system for all the recreation and aquatic programming. YES! I experienced the old system this past summer trying to register my son for his first swimming lessons. I created my account ahead of time and logged on early, ready to hit 'refresh' as many times needed until I was able to register him. I had my husband also log in to see who would be the lucky one to land a spot in our first choice of class.
I am excited for this new system, along with all other parents in Ottawa. The new system is going live on November 30. You’ll be able to create an account and browse activities on November 30, register for aquatic programs on December 5 and register for all other programs on December 7. The aquatic programs fill up VERY quickly, so plan ahead which class(es) you want to register for. While you may have one particular class you would like, make sure you also have a second or third choice of day and time.
