Holiday Magic at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
Sprinkle a little magic into the holiday season with a trip to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum! Enjoy the fresh air as you walk between the animal barns, or take a twirl on the museum’s outdoor skating rink (weather permitting). Check out our daily demonstrations, including “All About Feathers” and “Animals in Winter.” Learn some fun facts about Canadian tree farming and see a timeline of trends in tree-decorating history! Warm up inside the Demonstration Kitchen with homemade mint hot chocolate and snowball cookies, then make a seasonal greeting card in the craft corner. Don’t forget to bring your slippers and blanket…you’ll want to stay cozy as you watch a family movie in our Learning Centre.

Holiday Magic at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum
Reach for the stars at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum this holiday season! Climb aboard a “rocket” and travel to the Moon just like Canadian astronauts will do during upcoming Artemis Missions. Sit at the controls of a Cessna aircraft or enjoy a fly-by of the museum during a daily guided tour. Create a space-inspired drawing to enter in our colouring contest for the chance to win a Cessna Flight with Ottawa Aviation Adventures! Don’t forget to stop by our selfie stations for the perfect holiday family snapshot of your visit!

This holiday season, revisit the simplicity of the past with retro games and activities for the whole family.
Retro Games: Create your own designs on our huge homemade light boards, inspired by the childhood toy Lite-Brite. Challenge yourself and others to a real-life oversized version of the game Tetris. Stroll through our interactive galleries, and try to spot objects you’ve seen in your grandparents’ homes.
Demo Stage: Relax at our Demo Stage, where you can chill out during our Cryo-Genius show, then warm up with Pyro-Techno.
