Routine Vaccination Clinics for Ottawa Children and Youth

Is your child or youth behind on their routine vaccinations? You’re not alone, thousands of children and youth under 18 years old in Ottawa are missing these vaccinations. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, these vaccination services were disrupted. Routine vaccinations protect us all from diseases such as measles, polio, meningitis, and whooping cough and are required for child care centres and schools. In Ontario, all of these vaccinations are free.

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is offering routine vaccination services for children and youth who live in Ottawa and who are facing barriers in getting their routine immunizations in the community. You are eligible to book an appointment if you have a child or youth (under 18 years old) that meets one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • your child is a newcomer to Canada;
  • your child does not have an Ontario Health Card (OHIP);
  • your child does not have a primary health care provider, such as a doctor or nurse practitioner;
  • your child is currently unable to access immunizations through their health care provider.

Don’t forget to update your child’s immunization record! Health care providers don’t update OPH on immunizations received by your child. Providing immunization updates to OPH helps protect your child and the public in case there is ever an outbreak in our community.

Here are a few ways you can update your child’s immunization record:

  • Online: the Immunization Connect Ontario (ICON) Tool or the CANImmunize App
  • Phone: 613-580-6744 and select the option to discuss immunizations Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm
  • Mail: Ottawa Public Health, Immunization Unit, Mail Code 26-42, 100 Constellation Drive, Ottawa ON, K2G 6J8
  • Fax: 613-580-9660
