Celebrating Father's Day in Ottawa 2023

June 14, 2023

Make it a memorable weekend for dads and paternal figures in your life! There are lots of events happening in and around Ottawa.

Father's Day Brunch

Plenty of restaurants around Ottawa are offering dine-in services along with takeout and delivery options, some specifically crafting a Father’s Day menu for the special day. One that I have to highlight is The Belmont which we went to last June. There is seating inside and a small amount outside - reservations are a must!

Treat Dad to lunch or dinner at the Belmont. The Belmont is a unique and eclectic restaurant with a diverse menu of dishes like famous trini doubles, jerk chicken egg rolls, piri piri rock hen, and tres leches cake for dinner. They also feature classics for brunch like Huevos Rancheros, Croque Madame, Classic Ceasar Cocktail and more!

When: Brunch – June 17 & 18, 9am-2pm

Phone Number: 613-979-3663
Where: 1169 Bank Street, Ottawa

OFFE is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario licence-free. There are four periods throughout the year, the 3-day Family Day weekend in February, Mother’s day and Father’s day weekends and a full 9-days in July, which coincides with National Fishing Week.

Participants fishing without a license must fish under the Conservation fishing license limits which are set out in the current Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary. With the exception of the licensing requirement, Ontario fishing regulations, fees and limits continue to apply during license-free days.
