National Indigenous History Month

The NAC celebrates Indigenous artists and audiences all year round.

This National Indigenous History Month, the Kipnes Lantern features Genetikos II by Richard Heikkilä-Sawan, a Two-Spirit artist exploring identity, race, and social ideologies through vibrant artwork.

Throughout June, we feature Indigenous artists in a curated collection of activities and events. Highlights include the comedy show Got Land?, Indigenous Trivia Night, the theatre production You Used to Call Me Marie..., and our Summer Indigenous Art Market!

Celebrate Pride at the NAC

Canada’s hit queer podcast Resurrection is going live at the NAC! Join us on June 13 for A Michael Callen Cabaret — a show that's half-podcast, half-cabaret, all about the life and music of early AIDS activist Michael Callen. Free admission.

Montreal-based songwriter Bells Larsen takes the Fourth Stage on June 14 with his folk-inspired sound that weaves together cathartic lyrics and memorable melodies.

Stay tuned for more updates on Pride at the NAC, including a new artwork to be displayed on the Kipnes Lantern and a series of events in August to celebrate Capital Pride!
