Ms. Frizzle and her magic school bus ride into Ottawa!

When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip!  But when rivalries, both old and new, threaten to tear the students apart, our young heroes must learn to pull together or risk getting forever lost in the solar system.

Hop on the Magic School Bus for a ride in this new musical adaptation based on the original book series published by Scholastic.

Join us on Saturday, January 25 for Storytime in ROOM 1B (right beside the library).

You have two chances to catch this storytelling fun with the first starting at 12:40 pm and the second at 1:10 pm.

Follow the Gruffalo’s Child on her adventurous mission. World-renowned theatre company, Tall Stories’, brings this enchanting adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler to Ottawa.

One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s Child ignores her father’s warnings about the Big Bad Mouse and tiptoes out into the deep dark wood. She follows snowy tracks and encounters mysterious creatures – but the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist… does he?

Let your imagination run wild with songs, laughs, and scary fun for everyone aged 3 to 103. 

Running time: 55 minutes with no intermission.

Jim Henson’s musical, fun-loving Fraggles are dancing their cares away and into Ottawa in "Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE", the first-ever live touring show based on The Jim Henson Company’s beloved franchise and the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ original series.

When Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley and Boober Fraggle discover a legend about a long lost Fraggle treasure called the Celebration Stone, they embark on an adventure to find it and end up celebrating the greatest treasure of all – something much more special than they could have ever imagined!

Featuring gorgeous new walk-around versions of the Fraggles, puppet sized and mechanized Doozers, an appearance from the giant Gorgs, and exclusive new wondrous puppet creatures all from the acclaimed Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, along with fan-favorite songs and exciting visual effects, this all-new musical stage adventure will welcome audiences into the incredible world of the iconic and beloved Fraggle Rock in a whole new way!

CBC Kids’ viewers will recognize the children’s singer-songwriter from his two-to-three-minute musical episodes, which cover topics like sports, hygiene, vegetables and much more. This spring, he is bringing his unique style of children’s entertainment to Orléans. Will Stroet’s show aims to inspire kids to be active, healthy, creative and engaged in the world through music.  

Over the years, Stroet has performed more than 1,700 shows at major festivals, schools and theatres across Canada and China. He has also been nationally recognized for his nine albums in English and French. He was nominated for a 2017 JUNO with his latest album, “Wordplay” and has received six WCMA (Western Canada Music Awards) nominations, among many more. Will’s Jams is a show not to be missed by Ottawa families.
