Celebrate Dad and all the Dad-figures on Sunday, June 19th. Here are some ideas for how to spend the special weekend in and around Ottawa.
Go fishing with Dad for free! OFFE is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario licence-free.
Free fishing periods remind us of the value of Ontario’s recreational fishery, and the importance of keeping it healthy for future generations. While fishing you must:
- follow conservation license catch limits
- obey size limits and sanctuaries
- follow the fishing regulations
- carry a permit or identification card issued by the provincial or federal government, showing your name and date of birth

FATHER'S DAY WALK/RUN FOR PROSTATE CANCER 🏃
For over 23 years, The Father's Day Walk Run supporters have helped us change the lives of men living with prostate cancer. And now more than ever, we know that those affected by prostate cancer need our support.
A lot has changed in the last couple of years since we were able to be in person. Prostate Cancer Canada folded and in early 2021 PCFBC created an initiative called Prostate Cancer Support Canada to expand services and awareness across Canada. This means that we will be doing a both in-person and virtual events in 2022. Join participants everywhere by raising funds and awareness to help build a world where no man has to hear the words, "you have prostate cancer."
We are so excited for you to join us and be part of this Father’s Day tradition!
This is a time to celebrate survivors and remember those we’ve lost.
