Rewilding – The David Suzuki Foundation Arts Prize

Step into a world where art and nature intertwine and enjoy extraordinary artworks from the winners of the inaugural David Suzuki Foundation Rewilding Arts Prize. Thirteen Canadian artists bring the concept of rewilding to life, highlighting the vital role that nature plays in our communities through their compelling works of art. The artworks were selected by a jury of esteemed Canadian artists and the exhibition is curated by Helen Gregory, Curator at the McIntosh Gallery at the University of Western Ontario.
Pacific Discovery Tank
Museum interpreter at the tank: Thursday evenings; Saturdays and Sundays 10 am – noon and 1 pm – 4pm. Chat with an interpreter and learn about the creatures that call tidepools home. Encounter live sea stars, sea cucumbers, tentacled anemones and spiky urchins.
Bugs Alive
Leafcutter ants—busy little farmers that work around the clock—are the star attraction in our renewed and permanent exhibition of live insects and arachnids. Tarantulas, Horrid king assassin bugs, millipedes, cockroaches, and death-feigning beetles are also some of the other fascinating species you can examine up close.

Walking with Dinosaurs: Prehistoric Planet

Walking with Dinosaurs: Prehistoric Planet (BBC Earth) takes you on an amazing journey through Alaska 70 million years ago. Join an endearing and young horned dinosaur, Pachyrhinosaurus, on an adventure against incredible odds. In a world of giants, it isn’t easy being small. Enjoy stunning CGI visuals in a dramatic story of survival.
English screenings (regular schedule): Hourly from 10 am to 3 pm, and until 7 pm on Thursdays (subject to change without notice).
French screenings are on the half hour.

Tickets are on sale for Nature Nocturne—Ottawa’s most memorable night out for adults! Different themes for each event. Tickets are over 70% sold out for the après-ski-theme event on Feb. 14, 2025. Look for a new 2025-26 Nature Nocturne season to be announced early in 2025.
